Hey Keith,
Hope you're doing well. By chance, are you going to the Crypticon Horror Convention this weekend in Medina? I'll be there this Friday. They'll be showing Doomed to Consume, a film I'm a zombie in, at 5:00pm. It would be good to meet a fellow Minnesotan horror author if you were down there. Take care.

From what I read within the synopsis of each of your books that you have a way with stories. I shall have to scurry the local bookstores to find them. While I am sadden that I might never find your 'Deadly Friend' book I look forward to reading your latest. Intriguing plot and character ideas. I wish you the best of luck with your writings. Keep up the killer work towards your site as well. Fare thee well.

Keith--great website! I love your taste for old-fashioned gothic horror. I, too, am an author from iUniverse and came across your page while surfing through the message boards one day. You can check out some of my writing (I do psychological suspense/mystery thrillers with good doses of horror) on my very primitive website. I would also appreciate any tips you might have on website developing (like how the hell could I get my own domain name) and marketing. I hope to hear from you...if not...good luck with your writing....I have another book in production with Writer's Showcase right now....Dave

Read an excerpt of your novel, Dark Carnival, at iuniverse.com. It was original and intensely satisfying.
Being an aspiring writer, I hope to have found my forum in iuniverse.com. Agents have been a downer as I tried to gain one.
I compare my work to a car wreck. "lookie-loo's" stop and look. My writing has the same effect.
So sorry to hear about Richard Laymon's passing. He was a great writer. My writing is heavily influenced by "master of blood and sex horror."

I am a avid reader (a room dedicated to housing all of my books can attest to this). My interest is not limited to the horror genre but it is one of my favorites. I have read and reread "Deadly Friend" many times. In fact, one of my good friends borrowed this book from my when she was going out of town and she was so scared she made her husband put the book in another room at night while they slept. I have heard that authors hate it when people borrow/loan books, however, you will be pleased to know that by borrowing this book, she now owns your other two herself. I am finishing up "Dark Carnival" now and will begin "The Messiah" soon. I think, "Dark Carnival" is my favorite because as much as I have always enjoyed Fairs and Carnivals, I have always felt there was some evil presence working behind the scenes beneath all the laughter and cheer. I am always very appreciative of horror writers who do not follow the current vampire craze. I do not mind reading a few of these books, but basically they do not scare or interest me. I enjoy books that put chills down your spine versus concentrating on seeing how gross they can make the book. Gross scenes are fine and sometimes great, but the scariest books I have ever read did not one violent scene right after another. They focused on scaring the daylights out of you. That being said, you are one of my favorite writers and I look forward to reading more of you works.
